God gets us through the hard stuff.
Hardness.
It’s one of the properties of matter that we studied these first few weeks in science this year with my 4th grader. He learned that the properties of matter are helpful when identifying different types of matter.
And he learned that every material that has ever been made has a harness associated with it that varies from materials around it. For instance, concrete is harder than wood. And wood is harder than glass, and so on.
So, in so many words, “hard” can be evident at different levels.
And that’s the same with life, right?
Life can be HARD and there can be various levels of hard.
But God gets us through the hard stuff.
Like, there’s homeschool hard. And virtual schooling hard. And virtual teaching hard.
Like, I need to get this done before the deadline hard.
Like, losing a parent hard. Or a sibling. Or child. Hard.
Like, times when you feel too tired to move, hard.
Like hard to breath because of the weight of the pressure. Hard.
Like I need to let this go. Hard.
God gets us through the hard stuff.
Doing all the things that you don’t want to do, but that know you need to do. Hard.
Pushing through grief because the world stops for no one. Hard.
Or dealing with anxiety that just won’t quit. Hard.
Life is all kinds of hard.
But no matter “the hard”, God is not intimidated.
And He is not bothered by what our “hard” is.
Because nothing is too hard for our God.
So may we run to Him to help us through whatever hard we are facing in this season.
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV)
“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—”
II Corinthians 4:8-9 NKJV
